Upcoming changes - Journey Play Style and Jukebox Feature (For Post-Release Content Update)
Hello everyone!
As I keep working on the beta version 1.3.0, I'd like to announce a new mode and feature that will be the first post-release major content update. When the game gets released out of beta, you can expect Casual play, the Tutorial, and the Visualizer feature. For this post-release major content update, a new mode and a new feature will hopefully bring players more to experience in-game. What are these two new things exactly?
Jukebox Feature
This new Jukebox feature is something that I initially wanted to implement with the visualizer feature, but I think that it would do better on it's own. You didn't reach your favorite Stage? You want to hear the music from a specific Stage? Well look no further, this is the feature for you! In this feature, you will be able to playback the in-game music for your own enjoyment! Select a Track and the Stage that you would like to listen to, and just vibe out to the jams and tunes! (If you want to keep listening on, there will be a button to check out the game's soundtrack!).
Journey Play Style
Update Note (Apr 22, 2021): This play style is under consideration, while it sounds neat in concept, many things in-game have changed since the announcement of this notice.
So, let's say you easily can reach Stage 9 on both Casual and Custom, but you wish that there is something more challenging and unique... Well, I'd like to introduce you to the Journey play style! This mode will be based on rounds, each round will get progressively harder. Choose your game presets for each round, but be aware that the selection is limited. Watch out, the Stage will increase every 30 seconds! In order to progress to the next round, you'll need to survive Stage 9 until it increases to Stage 10. That's right, Stages will keep incrementing after each round! Sounds crazy, right? The cap on both Casual and Custom is Stage 9.
There is a limit on how few and many rounds you can play, you don't need to worry about selecting presets for a ridiculous amount of rounds.
Selected Rounds | Bonus Round (Pre-Selected Preset) |
Two Rounds | "Nightmare" Preset |
Three Rounds | "Omega" Preset |
Four Rounds | "Ultimatum" Preset |
Bonus Rounds are the final round, they are endless in order to test your endurance. Beware, stages will keep incrementing! Depending on how many rounds you select, you will get to play a unique preset as the bonus round (exclusive to this play style)! You'll need to practice to endure these unique challenging presets, but don't worry, you will be able to craft similar presets in the Custom.
More information on both the Jukebox feature and Journey play will come as soon as they start getting developed! The beta version 1.3.0 will be coming out soon, be sure to stay tuned for more information on the development of the game.
Enjoy this sneak peak into the future!
